Hide a word.
Bet on it.
Read theirs.

Type a word, put USDG behind it, and we hide it on a board. Your opponent hides one the same length for the same stake. Read theirs before they read yours and the pot is yours to claim.

One duel, start to finish

1

Type your word

Any word from the list, 4 to 8 letters. We hide it on a 12 by 12 board along with your opponent's.

2

Stake and clock

Put up USDG and take the clock we suggest for that length, or set your own.

3

Get matched

Same length, same stake, same clock. Nobody on your clock, and you take someone else's.

4

Read and claim

One guess each per round. Crack theirs first and the pot is yours to claim.

Same length,
same stake,
same clock

A duel is only fair if both sides face the same problem. You are never matched against a shorter word or a bigger stake. Longer words are harder to read, so both players get more guesses and a longer clock by default.

Two ways in

Nothing staked

The demo

The machine hides one word on the board and you try to read it. No opponent guessing back, no stake to put up. Crack it and you claim the demo prize, so you can see exactly how a win pays out before you risk anything.

USDG

Duel another player

Both of you hide a word and both of you guess. Winner claims both stakes. If neither of you cracks it, each side claims their own stake back.

Your opponent sees a name, not a wallet

Every duel hands you a fresh name and mark. The other side sees "Paper Fox", never 0x8f13a. Next duel, you are someone new.

A new name every duel

Names and marks are drawn at random when the duel opens and thrown away when it ends.

Your wallet is the account

Connect MetaMask or any wallet that speaks Robinhood Chain and you are in. Stakes are USDG, approved by you every time.

You claim, we never push

Winnings and returned stakes sit in the escrow contract until you claim them, so nothing moves without you asking.

Right now

Waiting right now

Each row is somebody waiting on those exact terms. Taking one means your word has to be the same length as theirs, and you put up their stake.

Word, time, stake

Pick all three, then we find you somebody who picked the same three.

We set this from your word's length. Change it, or pick Custom for any time.

USDG

Your pair puts up the same amount.

What happens next

We hide your word and your pair's word on the same board, along with a dozen or more other words of the same length. You each get the same number of guesses and the same clock. First to read the other's word takes the pot.

Connect your wallet

Your wallet is your account. Pick a username to play under and you are done. No email, no password, nothing to sign up for.

Works with MetaMask, Rabby and other wallets. The page adds Robinhood Chain for you the first time, then reads your address and your USDG balance. It does not move anything, and you approve every payment yourself.

Terms and privacy

Plain-language draft. It has not been through legal review, and it is not legal advice.

⚑Duels here are real. Your stake moves into the escrow contract on Robinhood Chain when you open or join a duel. The match service judges every guess and signs the result, and the winner claims the pot in one tap; the loser does nothing. It can only award the pot to one of the two players in that duel, never anywhere else. If nobody joins, or the duel never starts, you get your stake back. The demo is the one thing that stakes nothing.

Age

You must be 18 or over. You confirm this before your first staked duel. If you cannot confirm it, use the demo, which stakes nothing.

How a duel is kept fair

  • Both words are the same length and both are hidden on the same board.
  • Both players stake the same amount. You are never matched against a bigger stake.
  • Both players use the same clock. If nobody is waiting on yours, you take theirs.
  • Each round gives both players exactly one guess, so going first is not an advantage.
  • If both players crack in the same round, nobody wins and each side takes their own stake back.

Running out of guesses

If neither of you has read the other's word when the guesses run out, either side may add more rounds. If you add them and your opponent does not, they take their stake back and you are matched with somebody else on your extended terms, keeping your word and your stake.

Money

  • Stakes are in USDG, the Global Dollar, and are held by the escrow contract for the duration of the game.
  • The winner claims both stakes. Nothing is pushed to your wallet; you claim it.
  • If nobody wins, each side claims their own stake back in full.
  • A fee is taken on winnings. The rate has not been decided yet, and it is shown here and at the point of claiming before it ever applies.

Your word stays secret

Your word is committed as a hash before the game starts and revealed at the end. The contract checks that hash before anyone is paid. If a word is never revealed by the deadline, the stake goes to the other player, so refusing to reveal is never the better move.

Responsible play

  • You stake from your own wallet and can never stake more than it holds.
  • The key expires on its own, and anything left returns to the wallet that funded it.
  • You can self-exclude at any time. The flag is held against your key and on your device.
  • The demo stakes nothing and is always available.

What the other player can see

A random name and mark drawn for that duel only, plus whatever name you set on your profile. They never see your wallet address, and the server never sends it to them.

What the chain can see

This is pseudonymity, not anonymity. Staking, settling and claiming are transactions on Robinhood Chain, and anyone can follow your wallet through them. We do not run mixers or privacy pools, and we will not pretend the chain forgets.
